Garbhagriha · the main idol
She who delivers the humble — refuge of the sorrowful
Established in the form of Dakshina Kali, Ma Dinotarini has been the refuge of many families of the Chowrangee neighbourhood. Worship began in 1351 Bangabda in a small thatched shed, set up by local devotees; a permanent shrine, the natmandir and the courtyard Shivalinga followed.
The temple is presently managed by the Dinotarini Kali Mata Trust. Everyone is welcome, regardless of caste or faith.
